Dr. Rebecca C. Itow is Assistant Vice Provost for School Partnerships and Precollege Programs in Undergraduate Education at Indiana University, Bloomington. She earned her PhD in Learning Sciences from Indiana University, has served as Principal of IU High School Online, and was a public high school teacher. Driven to facilitate relevant and responsive learning environments that help students navigate their academic journeys in personally valuable and externally valued ways, Dr. Itow researches, designs, and implements pedagogical practices in both in-person and digital learning environments. Her work guides current University & community partnerships that innovate teaching and learning at secondary and university levels. Rebecca is also an artist and fiber crafter! She sings, dances, and does aerial arts, is a prolific knitter, and leaves origami cranes wherever she goes.
